Democracy

The United States is not a democracy. The United States is a republic as in Republican Party, a Republican Party that represents the interests of rich people - an oligarchy. The United States is a republic just like The Republic of China, The Republic of Iran.

Tax Cuts for Small Businesses

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I plan to implement significant tax cuts to aid small businesses in thriving, expanding and hiring more workers. For example, as Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law tax cuts for small businesses that offset increases in minimum wage ensuring small businesses stay in business and even thrive so as to hire more workers all the while keeping their prices affordable for customers.

Livable Minimum Wage

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will support unions to help establish a livable minimum wage across Michigan. I'm committed to ensuring that workers receive a fair and livable wage!

Trade Economy

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will bring back the trade economy. The trade economy is a safety net for the unemployable and the unemployed. For example, the trade economy will work for the retiree on a fixed income, being eaten up by inflation, by allowing the retiree to trade for items, cash, and food with the trading center. A grandmother finds out the trading center is available to stock knitted baby blankets, so she knits a baby blanket and trades for a doll for her granddaughter, food, and cash. Example #2, the trade economy will work for the homeless person crossing the street finding a plumber wrench by allowing the homeless person to find and trade the wrench for cash, food, and items(blankets) with the trading center. It's a matter of decency!

Senior Citizens - Property Tax Cuts

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will cut property taxes on low fixed income senior citizens. For example, upon age 70 years property taxes on low fixed income senior citizens will not be levied. And past property taxes on low fixed income senior citizens will be refunded, starting with refunds to the oldest senior citizens. In addition, I will stop foreclosure of property on low fixed income senior citizens. It's a matter of decency!

Senior Citizens - 401K Tax Cuts

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will end state income tax on 401K withdrawals. It's a matter of decency!

Grandparent Subsidy

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I recognize that grandparents are often helping to raise their grandchildren. Three generations of family living at the same residency e.g. grandparent's home, so as Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I would sign into law subsidies to grandparents funded by my 1 cent tax on non-recyclable plastics.

Small Business

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law tax cuts down to as low as no income taxes on small businesses.

Businesses - Large and Small

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will take the burden of the administration of Medicare and Medicaid insurance off the backs of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and employers placing the administration of Medicare and Medicaid insurance on government towards decreasing the cost of health care for all. This will also allow government to reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

Equal Rights Advocacy

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I stand firmly against discrimination and support policies that protect and promote Equal Rights.

Work Week

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will shorten the work week to 32 hours per week at 40 hour per week pay. This 32-hours as a full-time work week at 40 hour per week pay will give employees a better standard of living and 3 days per week off work.

Livable Minimum Wage

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law a livable minimum wage that increases with increases in the cost of living. I'm committed to ensuring that workers receive a fair and livable wage,

Student-Interest-Driven-Curriculum

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will change the failed administrator-driven-curriculum which has administrators, that have never met or will never meet your child; the student, telling the student what's best for the student. What's best for the student the student's learning experience is to have classes of student interest with a minimum of required courses for each grade level that of reading, arithmetic, and personal finance which includes classes in retirement pensions like IRAs, 401K, and Social Security.

School Schedule, 180 days

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will change the school schedule to avoid the many holiday disruptions to student learning instead students will have winter vacation also avoiding walking and or waiting at the bus stop in deadly bitter cold weather. Students will continue to have personal sick days and or new personal vacation days amounting to 15 days per school year.

School Schedule, Quarter Terms

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will have all schools operating on quarter terms allowing students to opt out of the next class in a course that is after all not of interest to the student. Shorter quarter terms will cut down on misconduct in the classroom or truancy from the classroom from the school as the student will no long feel imprisoned in a class of no interest to the student by the lengthy semester term.

Parents Involvement in Teaching

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will shorten the work week to 32 hours per week at 40 hour per week pay. This 32-hours as a full-time work week at 40 hour per week pay will give employees "parents" a better standard of living and 3 days per week off work to spend more time raising and teaching their children.

Air Pollution

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will reduce air pollution by requiring filters and or catalytic converters on industrial smokestacks. For example, the Marathon oil refinery in District 5 and District 6 (Mexican Town) Detroit, Michigan will be required to have filters on its smokestacks ensuring reduction in lung disease.

Land Pollution

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law a one cent tax per non-thermal plastic items e.g. containers to lessen production of non-thermal plastics that cannot be recycled ending up in landfills. I will also prevent out of state e.g. New York nuclear waste from being dumped in the Great Lake State of Michigan.

Water Pollution

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will prevent raw sewage from being dumped into Detroit River water and have the industrially polluted Flint River water cleaned. As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan - a biochemist - I will maintain higher standards for example beaches will be less likely to be closed due to E. coli bacteria from birds, algae blooms, of other toxins.

Immigration

Immigration

I support duo-United States citizenship for all Mexicans that are descendants of the Aztec ("Indians"). And I support Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, D.A.C.A. As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I would protect immigrants currently in Michigan from deportation by Governor Hogan's executive order granting Michigan Citizenship so as long as these immigrants stay within the border of the state of Michigan, I would legally as Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan be able to protect them from deportation. This is another original idea by me!

Human Rights

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law physician assisted suicide; a person's right to hers or his body and privacy. As a biochemist I will be alert regarding the latest research showing promise that can be used in terminal patients e.g. stage 4 cancer from chewing tobacco.

Equal Rights Advocacy

I'm a proud son of a Matriarch, Matriarch. As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I stand firmly against discrimination and will support policies that protect and promote Equal Rights for women, the LGBQI+ community, senior citizens, for all individuals.

Animal Rights

As biochemist Kevin Hogan I have firsthand knowledge of laboratory animal cruelty. As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will have inspectors to monitor animal cruelty in laboratories. And I will work with animal shelters looking to unite animal shelters wherever possible for the welfare of animals.

Human Rights

As Michigan Governor Kevin Hogan I will sign into law that nutrition e.g. water and food is a basic human right. It's a matter of decency of humanity! As a result, I expect crime rates, and mental health issues to be reduced.

Suicide Prevention

It's not you, it's them!

Privacy Rights

I go to the store and there are cameras recording my license plate in every direction. Government "Big Brother" (George Orwell's 1984) is watching us. I see on the news Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland Counties have entire surveillance divisions. There are 83 counties in the state of Michigan. And, of course, city police departments have face recognition, greenlight on private businesses like gasoline stations, shot fired, and drone technology with the drones flying over private property.
